Re: STCC 2010 DATES
To allow people to recover from their Christmas and New Year
celebrations booking in will open after the new year, around the end of
January as normal. The actual opening date will be announced early
January.
Now that the TC AGM is over and the rules now fixed I can now reveal
the only change I have been considering for the STCC rules. All classes in the STCC will now have a minimum weight limit of 1350grams.
I will admit that it is a little lower than I would prefer, but since
the TC section has also adopted the LiPo across the board battery rule
that the STCC has had for 2 years, it now means that drivers can
continue to use their cars and all their equipment, including
batteries, in other championships as well. My advice is, if you choose
to get the weight down do not sacrifice the balance of your chassis for
the sake of a lower weight. Poor weight distribution will have a much
larger effect on your lap times than this weight.
