HRCC CLUB NIGHT 26-10-07.
A few of us from GMCC went to Wodson Park last night for a bit of practice before next Sundays Round 2 of Rug Racers.
The track was very tight in places especially the straight which was 2m wide but as we know from a distance this looks very narrow. There were 5 heats: H1 was a mix of classe including: 1/12, 19t and Brushless Mod.
Heats 2, 3 and 4 were 27stock and Heat 5 was the ever popular Recoils.
Dani, Rich and Paul were racing 27t, I was doing 19t and Scotty Recoils.
There were 3 rounds of Qualiy and 1 final for all.
H1 was interesting avoiding Lohan's 1/12 trying not to kill it and the different speed of the Mods and 19t's was strange but it kept you on your toes.
H2 of stock was literally that stock, as in stock cars, never has so much lexan been traded, but there was still some very close racing betwen Rich, Dani and Martin well done guys and girl.
Heats 3 and 4 was where the fast cars were with the top drivers not far off of the Mod time.

Overall a great nights racing with a great atmosphere with many competitors from different clubs competing without to many arguments, that's what racing is all about, having fun.

Re: HRCC CLUB NIGHT 26-10-07.
Me and Dani raced at Wodson last night and didn't we do well.
With my new Scythe I managed 3rd in the a few seconds off of FTQ and only a couple of seconds behind Malcolme Hall and in front of Rich T, very happy was I.
Dani after some consistant runs Qualiyed 3rd in the A Final in front of the Cow and the Eye, no mean feat I can tell you. After a bit of luck in the A final she one Leg 1 and finished 3rd in leg 2 which gave her 2nd place overall.
Roll on the indoor season, were ready.
