Did I Kill My 13.5 brushless motor?
Sorted Thanx to Mark
Motor Still in good working order but there is something like a Glue melted on magnet...
Is that means the beginning of the end

If ti still works then I think you should be ok, when I run my 13.5 bonded I run on 8.10, what gearing were you running that on? it looks like you were over gearded and it has got to hot, do you run a fan on your motor?

I this an Orion 13.5 sintered? if so I would run it on about 8.30, give it a clean and go down 1 tooth. I would use a fan though.

Re: Did I Kill My 13.5 brushless motor?
It is really confusing On rctech they think Motor is undergeared... ,most people use it around 4.3-4.9-5
Novak says for their motors use 2-3 tooth higher pinion than stock brushed I was using 16 but I think It should be 15 I reckon so 3 tooth higher comes to 18 or 19 but still not sure what to do
"looks like pulled a winding from the soldered terminals"
"Look at the second picture. Next to the holes in the ring you can see where the windings are soldered on. The one at the top has come partially unsoldered (probably from over heating) if you look down into the motor from that unsoldered joint you can see what looks like a fracture in the iron core the windings are around.(Maybe what caused the overheating?)"
p.s two different users opinions...

Re: Did I Kill My 13.5 brushless motor?
I looked at the 2nd pic and it does look like it has come unsoldered
.
I think some drivers at the grays club which is a bit smaller than our track had a few drivers gearing the car to high for such a small track and they had motors running to hot and overheating.
It's hard to say if you were under or over geared without driving the car or watching it.

Re: Did I Kill My 13.5 brushless motor?
I use a bonded 13.5 Nosram at our club which are £39.99.
But most say the Novaks are the best, not sure though as the lrp/nosram vectors are very good too.
