New Sponsor for this years WLRC''s GP.
WLRC have a new sponsor for this years Grand Prix Ansmann Racing.
The dates are as follows:
Sat 29 August 2009 - ANSMANN GP Practice
Sun 30 August 2009 - ANSMANN GP Qualifying
Mon 31 August 2009 - ANSMANN GP Finals

The ANSMANN GP 2009 at West London Racing Centre
Date
August Bank Holiday weekend… Saturday 29th to Monday 31st August 2009…
Aim
To have a weekend of racing with a ‘friendly’ yet competitive atmosphere…
Format
Controlled (grouped by class) practice on Saturday… Five rounds of
qualifying with finals decided by round by round (Sunday/Monday)… The
best two results counting… Three leg finals for all (Monday)… With best
two from three to count (with qualifying position as tie breaker)…
Format may be subject to change in the event of (unwanted) inclement
weather…
Heats will consist of up to ten cars… A finals (where practicable) will
be of ten cars… Remaining finals (where possible) will also consist of
ten cars BUT meeting organisers retain right to adjust cars per final
to suit entry numbers…
Classes
There will be four Scale Saloon classes Plus a ‘Pan Chassis’ class GT10… (Subject to enough early interest)…
* Stock Touring… For 17.5 Brushless (27t Brushed) Minimum weight 1500grms…
* Super Stock… For 13.5 Brushless (27t Brushed) Minimum weight 1400grms…
* ProStock… For 10.5 Brushless (19t Brushed) Minimum weight 1400grms…
* Super Touring… For 5cell (No limit) or Li-Po 6.5 Minimum weight 1400grms…
* GT10… As per BRCA or ‘similar alternative’…
For ALL classes only cells from the BRCA 2008/2009 lists may be used (Ni-Mh & Li-Po)…
For ALL classes only motors ‘readily’ available through UK outlets are allowed…
Tyres
Any UK sourced ‘readily available’ pre-built tyre may be used… Limited
to twelve tyres (three sets) of slick type per competitor … Sets to
presented to scrutineering for marking prior to use with supplied
stickers applied…
Treaded tyres may be used in the event of ‘wet’ conditions… Additives are NOT allowed in wet conditions on any type of tyre…
Tyres used for any practice session will not be monitored and need not be from the tyre ‘allowance’…
Entry Fee
Entry will be £12 per entry… Initially a driver may only enter a single
Scale Saloon class… From August 1st drivers may enter a second Scale
Saloon class (subject to spaces being available)… Entries through www.centralbooking.org
On the day entries (subject to availability) will be offered on a
“first come first served” basis and will be subject to an additional £5
charge…
Cancellations prior to two weeks before the meeting will be refunded
less a £2 administration fee… Cancellations less than two weeks prior
to the meeting (ie from Monday 17th August) will NOT be refunded…
Camping will be available on the Saturday and Sunday nights… There will
be a fee of £2 per person per night for this service (payable at the
event)…
All rules subject to official confirmation.
There will also be the usual raffle and THE clock!

Good to see WLRC have opened things up a bit this year with an open tyre choice and a 1400gram weight limit which I think is a great idea and should see many if not all the track records being broke.

Control what? do you mean the tyres or the weight? If tyres then most will still be on sorexs anyway so it wont really matter.
