Re: MM-Rug Racers 2009/10 & MM-Eversley Winter Carpet Series
Seem's like a good idea and both series will run reguardless only gripe I have is the pitting at the Everlsey venue, not the best in the world, perhaps if they spent the money on hiring a sperate room for pitting would make life easyier for all from previous experience there, won't be a popular meeting with er in doors otherwise

Re: MM-Rug Racers 2009/10 & MM-Eversley Winter Carpet Series
New yellow EXP SWEEPS for 2009/10 MM-RR series
Hi Guys
Thought
I would give you some heads up on the NEW EXP MM-RR & MM- EWCS
yellow rim, yes that's right yellow rim (looks bling with my colour
scheme
)
We
at HRCC on Friday had been given 2 sets of these trial wheels, and
another 2 sets went to the Southend/Eversley club for them to try-out
at their club this coming Tuesday
The new rims have new pink
inserts, instead of the cyan ones that were in the SWEEPS last MM-RR
series. The pink inserts are slightly fuller, but are softer, giving
the tire a lesser air gap, therefore giving a flatter profile on the
tire, therfor less tire roll.
We found the tires very consistent through out the run, as did last years SWEEPS at our track.
The
new rims are similarly made to buggy rims, whereas they have a lot more
nylon in them, and should be virtually unbreakable. We gave these
wheels out to the lesser and better drivers on Friday night at the
club, so that there was a wider feeling how these new wheels performed.
and was an outstanding 'YES'
I will await the conclusions from the Eversley crew before, giving MM UK the nod.
A couple of reasons for the yellow rim is;
1) Ease of scrutineering
2) Also, both MM-RR & MM-EWCS series are using the same rules and regs, along with the same yellow EXP SWEEPS.
3) Easy to spot in your array of wheels and tires
If any one has any questions for me, I will try and answer them for you.
Cheers Malc

Re: MM-Rug Racers 2009/10 & MM-Eversley Winter Carpet Series
Results
Following some testing of the yellow wheeled sweeps the results look good.
2
of our drivers tested the wheels on Friday last and then once again on
the Tuesday just gone. These tires where also given to other club
members to try and the results look good.
So based on these comments from our side, its a go for the Yellow Wheel option.
Roll on Rd1, in Oct!
Regards
Richard.

Re: MM-Rug Racers 2009/10 & MM-Eversley Winter Carpet Series
Hi Guys
Thanks for your comments and requests, and I will try and answer some of them now
As
its already been said, RR and EWS willl only allow the NEW yellow EXP
SWEEPS 32s as Luke has said, they are of a different build. The rubber
is exactly the same as last year, but the inserts are pink instead of
cyan, these these pink inserts are fuller, but a little softer, giving
a lesser gap and therefore less roll on the tyre
I
spoke with MM-UUK today, and they have confirmed that the recomended
price will be £21.99 a set of pre-glued EXP SWEEP 32s. as are the
SWEEPS we used last year, as they went up in May, just after MM-RR
finished, as there was a price increase,
Im awaiting a delivery date, but have been assured it wont be to long, so keep returning to this thread for an update.
Addative
We
have been trying some MM water soluable addative, and has been proven
to be very good, but will try a few more tests before deciding to go
with it as a control addative.
If you have any more questions please ask away
and I will try and answer them for you
Cheers Malc
