Post by Ali C on Fri Sep 18, 2009 1:25 pm

Control tyres
control additive
and now they are talking about control tyre cleaners
come on it's getting a bit too much ...
what's wrong about cleaning tyres with what ever you want!

taking it a bit to far i think, whats wrong with wurth been using it for over a year, i know some use baby wipes to clean the tyres but the new "control additive" is actually a tyre cleaner itself lol

they probably not allow to use wurth break cleaner where it's allowed @all brca national meetings!
I still don't get the point but if they say so we have to obey their rulez...
at least this year there is no max charging limit like last year's 5a max limit...LOL

They will be released on Monday as I think that is when Muchmore UK will be getting them, if they come in Monday? that is when they will be sent ot the shops, think thats what it means when you look at the ones on ebay.

Still no deffo answer about the additive though, all it says on rc race chat is that they are thinking about having the mm x1 as a control additive, no one seems to want to make a decision and give us an answer, looked at it on mm's site and it costs £11.99 seems a bit expensive???

sponsor of the event Wink
Their goal is Selling as much as possible, who cares about budget of not sponsored drivers Sad
hopefully they allow us to use wurth other wise we also have to clean the tyres with that expensive liquid!

The thing I think a lot of peeps are overlooking is that the control additive which is £11.99 is actually a cleaner itself which i think works the same way as the wurth does so in theory if you have no wurth or tyre additive then the new C A X1 works out the same price as both.

Yes this does mean at £21.99 for tyres and £11.99 for tyre A you are sort of spending more but at the end of the day it has been done to keep costs down and have a good supply of both for the whole champoinship of RR's and of course the Eversly meetings, which has been a prob in the past.

I dont think it's so much about the sponsors making as much money as poss just Wodson/ RR's looking out for the drivers which is a positive thing in my eyes, at least there will be no guessing games about which additive is the best.

Think on.....

at the end of the day nobody asks what the drivers think Wink
So it's better to wait and see what are they gonna decide ...
but I reckon opinions of the mod drivers will effect this...
not a big deal anyway Smile

Right, I was speaking to Malc at the weekend, the MM x1 is a cleaner, which they will be using at an additive. I have not heard anything about cleaning the tyres and will continue to use wurth as a cleaner and then the MM x1 stuff as an additive!
The MM x1 is water base, so if needs be you can add water to it, and make it last! Cant see why you would as you then dont make it as concentrated, and if the 'cleaner' is softening the tyre, you dont want to be taking that away from it! Just pay out and dont mis use it, as it does come in a LITTLE bottle!lol
