whos had problems with there brushless systems and what batteries do you use.it seems that maybe the higher volts given by nihm cells could be a factor in failures.any comments on your experiences .

the only problem with brushless motors and systems is overheating which is created by wrong gearing...
almost no one knows the perfect gearing for brushless motors...
by overheating you can kill the motor cos windings can melt inside the motor which is not repairable ...
hope that helps
ps.Check the tweak Lol

I have had no problems with motors either. Have seen others like Alis that have started or have melted and Johns rotor on his bonded nosram fell out but as with all Nosram BL stuff it has a 25 year warrenty thats why my speedo was replaced with a new one when the fet blew.
If your going BL then make sure the warrenty is a good one.

I gear mine in the same way as I would a brushed, not gear ratio wise but you should be at full speed 3/4 of the way down the straight, this is a good rule of thumb.

At our club I gear a 13.5 Bonded BL on 8.55.

13.5 Sintered on about 8.25.

The Sintered motors seem to handle the heat better than the Bonded motors and you get more consistant speed out of them. Basicly they are a quicker motor and better quality.
