Spoke to MM about it the suggested the 2.5mm top deck but dont think that's enough. I was going to get the 2.5mm lipo chassis because as you said above it has equal flex side to side which has to be better as there is no need for cell cutouts and must make the car more consitant side to side.

What is the thickness of the 007, 008 and 009 chassis?

If its 2.5mm then that is good news.

Just checked and the new T3 comes with a 2.5mm chassis but with cell cut outs as is the standard Photon chassis, so going for the 2.5mm lipo chassis without the cuts outs seems the obvious solution along with the 2.5mm thick top deck maybe? but deffo the chassis.

exactly, 2.5mm for high grip conditions must have for you but this time try to not dremel the top deck for the batt connector ...
I hate battery cuts but if lipo chassis will be available for t3 ,I reckon this will cost another £70...
Copsey sold his photon,Luke hobson seems he is not happy about indoor performance (from rctech)
but on the other hand they mostly use foam tyres @us where designer of the car lives&race and they need really stiff car for that...I have mixed feelings about photon Sad
There are plenty positive reports about T3 from ETS on redrc ...
we'll see how it goes ...I'm sure our disco sponsored drivers will have the car very soon Wink

im glad i put my deposit on the t3 when i did, Demon have sold out before they even got any in stock, ali theres the full info on the xray site now, looks like main difference is the top deck the bulk heads and you can flip the transmission over for better weight ballance, i cant wait to get car and get mugged off with the price of spares lol
