SRCCC Essex Open race report 18-01-09.

Well with a good turn out from our club with 8 of the G.M.C.C. drivers all racing 13.5. There was 10 heats of several different classes running but stock being the most popular.
Charlotte made her debue with a few teething problems at first we all rallyed round and got her up and running again and she did a good job for her first big meeting and finished most of her races.
Other drivers from our club were: me, Dani, Justin, Azman, Rich P, Rich G, John and James.
With only 8 car finals is was always going to be hit or miss if you were going to be in the A, B, C, D or E Final.
Dani was spole in the E then Rich P, Rich G and Charlotte, Dani had a rear end punt from some other driver so was out of the running which meant the lead was taken up by our very own Rich P who drove like a pro and popped in a 30 lapper and won the E Final!!! well done Rich you really deserved the win with such a good drive.
Other than me and Azman the other drivers were spreed over the C and D finals which I didn't get a chance to see so we will have to wait for the results to be posted.
The B was a funny old race with me finishing 3rd but luckily we had another G.M.C.C. driver in this final Azman who took over the lead and won the B final well done! (I dont always win from pole LOL).
Overall we had a good laugh and a very enjoyable day which is what its all about.
Good luck to all going to SRCCC's meeting at the Eversley Leisure centre on 25-01-09 this Sunday me and Dani are now going (thanks Justin lol) I'm sure it will bigger and better threre and 10 car finals hopefully lol.
