Winter Championship Yes or NO?
WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2009?
Hi all what do you think about running a Winter Championship over the next 10 weeks running up to Christmas possibly with prizes at the end for the top 3 in Juniors, intermediates and pro drivers classes?
If we do this it will start the first Tuesday in October and run for 10 weeks with 6 weeks to count with prizes or trophies presented at our Christmas meeting.
Any thoughts or ideas very welcome.

What about having the original Sweep or the new Yellow ones as a control tyre?

Re: WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2009?
That would be really good but We should have a small entry fee like 5-10 and we can buy few Trophies from Ebay

Re: WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2009?
Well after a great response last night I guess its a green light for the Winter Championship.
This is the format:
10 weeks starting from 6th October.
7 meetings out of 10 to count fro Championship points.
Weight limit 1450 grms +.
101 points for FTQ in your respective class. E.g. Nicky Q's 8th overall out of 16 drivers, but still gets 101 points for being top Junior.
100 points for the top driver in the finals in your respective class. E.g. Nicky finishes 1st in the B final (6 drivers in the A) gets 100 points for being top junior.
I think that is clear.
Trying to sort some prizes out for the first 3 in each class but that sounds like a great idea.
Perhaps if we charged an extra 50p per race meeting over the 10 weeks that should give us at least £50 for trophies, I will look on ebay, for new ones that is lol.
Any more ideas more than welcome, ty.

Re: WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2009?
Yes the 6th lol corrected now ty.
Found these on Ebay and look good.
So we will have an extra 50p charge per week for the trophies, in my reconing 14 drivers = £7 a week £70 for trophies, sorted.
I have got a seal money tin and I am going to put all our names on it with tick boxes so we can collect the money each week, you can pay all up front if you want, or pay as you go and have your name ticked off each week.
