I found this on ebay and they have a shop to.

These 5300's are available now, but are 28c Sad

There are new 40c! 5300's coming through and should be available some time this month so I am told?

I think I will wait for the 40c version as this will be the higest rated mah and C rating of any lipo availble on the market.

I know they are a lot of money for 1 pack but 1 is all you need when the mah rating is so high, even for club racing, just top it up after each race.

Ben Cosgrove was using the same lipo at the CW'S 2 day meeting but the Nosram version which is the same but red in colour, his car was awsomly fast, just think how quick we will be going when the 40C's come out!

Things have come a long way since I first started racing with 1200mah sc's, God that shows how long I've been racing lol.

Is that a lot more than my Orion 4800mah 15 C then lol.

So does the much higher C rating ( 25c more ) actually mean the car will accelllerate a lot quicker?

There's also a lot of talk on RC Race chat about voltage, it should not exceed 8.40 on your charger and having a final charge voltage of 8.44 is Illegal is what they are saying.

On my charger it has only ever gone to 8.41 at the most. Is this ok?

It has also been said that you can charge at what ever amps you like now as this just charges the Lipo quicker but does decrease the life of the Lipo.

So what was all the fuss at the begining of RR'S when it was said that you were not allowed to charge at more than 5amps?

I think we are all learning as we go with Lipos instead of following instructions and rules.

Who nows what the "rule's" will be in a month or 2? We wil see, time will tell.

as I always said That was Bull**** LOL Smile
sometimes people talks even if they don't know what they r talking about...
Anyways There is only one dangerous way to charge lipo packs and that is pushing them to take more than 8.4v but only 1-2 charger on the market able to do that, simply Find who ever use those make of chargers and check Their Settings Randomly problem Sorted Smile
I personally think Lipo packs Safer than NiMh Cells but NiMh Packs Punchier and Thats why All the Top guns Still using NiMh Cells...

i am constantly hearing that the C rating is a load of hype however i can personally feel the punch in my 30C lipo compared to my 20C

i'm in the market for a new lipo and i will be going for the Nosram 40c pack when it comes out the C rating cant be all hype surely

all lipo packs had some C figures on them but only Smc sent their packs with actual test figures (charged, discharged, max amp etc) printed on the each pack...
so there is only one trusted lipo pack on the market which is SMC Wink

Well if the 28c 5300 are £99.99 rrp then I dont know how much the 40c version will be? But then they will be cheaper if you look around like the one at the top of this page £99.99 down to £82.99. Very Happy
