yeah he's right the 5300 are a little higher than the 3800 on average 3.5mm higher, this wont fit in some chassis without mods. i got the top plate extender on the xray and the fit is just perfect. Azman has an offset battery tray that sits away from the top deck thats another option.

yeaa.. Then e other option is
1. Use older thinner lipo's such as the 3800/4000 I think..
2. Use upper deck add-ons(spacers) such as the one on the XRAY T2009.. Which is what ricky is doing..
3. Or do mods on the lipo's which consist of sanding the bulges/batt slot positioner down. Strap it/glue it down somehow..

I've seen Azmans off set tray but dont like the idea of the lipo hanging over by that much.

But if by using the spacers makes his car handle even better, THEN LEAVE THE TRAY IN AZMAN, lol, pmsl.

Or all buy Scythe's, you can use a lipo thats 100mm tall lol.

David Spashett multiple World Champion said "you should us the highest mah lipo with the highest C rating" so the Nosram/LRP 5300 40C covers both of these, I'm waiting as the STCC is the only place you cant use them but I'm only doing 1 round as all the overs are fully booked. So when we/I go to Southend and WLRC outdoors this summer it will be like wet shite off a shiney shovel.
