It looked a lot slower down the straight than Justins!!!

If it's the Nosram 5300 28c let us know how it goes.

MR G.M.C.C. wrote:Is that a lot more than my Orion 4800mah 15 C then lol.

So does the much higher C rating ( 25c more ) actually mean the car will accelllerate a lot quicker?

There's also a lot of talk on RC Race chat about voltage, it should not exceed 8.40 on your charger and having a final charge voltage of 8.44 is Illegal is what they are saying.

On my charger it has only ever gone to 8.41 at the most. Is this ok?

It has also been said that you can charge at what ever amps you like now as this just charges the Lipo quicker but does decrease the life of the Lipo.

So what was all the fuss at the begining of RR'S when it was said that you were not allowed to charge at more than 5amps?

I think we are all learning as we go with Lipos instead of following instructions and rules.

Who nows what the "rule's" will be in a month or 2? We wil see, time will tell.

Surprisingly.. Lipo technology has some similar nature of its older brother.. the Nimh's...

At TITC at Bangkok, Thailand this year.. some of the people were charging up to 10amps. The problem would be it'll have a lot of punch, but some didnt even last the 5 minutes, they were running 11.5T (stock class). Bear in mind they were using the IP 3800 35C batt..

By default they should be charging at 3.8amps only.. so the trick is to find a balance of runtime and punch/power to suit the 5 minutes..

But considering that the new Lipo's are 4000's and above we should not have problems with runtime.. but instead it'll sort plateu/soften out in the 5 min run..

The problem with manufacturer's today is that there is no standard measurement. Some are claiming the pack true/average C rating.. some are actually giving the pack C rating burst which is much higher.. Hopefully they'll draw to a conclusion in giving proper numbers to us.. or not we're all still be left in the dark.

Just think how much better the 40c one will be, same run time with even more punch! Cant wait.
With these new generation lipos coming out 5300mah and 28-40c makes you wonder why people still buy 2 3800mah packs?
