I agree with you scott i did change from 27t to 19 the CMCC boys just so quick Leon Martin for example, i attended there open day and there was guy there using a set of 3300 cells with a 27t just come back into the hobby after 10yrs and he ended up doing more laps than 19t
If you remember on that day at CMCC i was only 1 lap behind you with a knackered 27t cobolt, even though i did not do the Ko weekend looking at the final results there is only 1 lap difference across most of the finals between 27t and 19t
Check out Southends outdoor track records there is only 1 lap difference between 27t and modified and Southend is a big track
So looking at the dicussion to me it comes down to good clean driving regardless of speed
