17.5 and 13.5 B.R.C.A. National Series???

BRCA 13.5 and 17.5 nationals
Gunna open up this one.

Looking
at the regional championships, 13.5 and increasingly 17.5 seem to be
the most popular classes at the momment. Personally, I think the BRCA
should run 2 meetings like they used to, to cater for these classes,
like back in stock/super stock then elsewhere Mod days. I for one would
enter 13.5. I know we have to go down the proper AGM route but I just
wanted to guage racer's opinions. Pro stock numbers are good but Super
Touring still only 4 heats.

I
know this takes twice the organising but also twice the income. There
are enough tracks out there of a national standard that venues
shouldn't be an issue, and the current format seems popular.

At last another sane racer, what a great idea!!!

I would be very
interested in doing Nationals again if there were 13.5 and 17.5
classes. I could do 13.5 then the kids I take with me, 1 daughter and 2
nephews could do 17.5, a great idea, with a lot of talk latley about
the difference between 27t/ 17.5/ 13.5 lets hope it happens it would be
great for all the drivers 60+ that used to do 27t at the Nats and it
would give the youngsters a chance of competing at the "big" meetings
aswell.

"Super Touring still Only 4 heats" I wonder why, cells perhaps? Why can't they use lipos???

I don't think this would dilute anything as it would not be another
series but an extension of the formulas for the B.R.C.A. National
series as it could be and should be run on the same day as the 10.5/Mod
Nationals as was the 27t/19t/Mod a few years back. But at a different
and as said above smaller tracks if possible.

Perhaps we the drivers at the A.G.M. could put a few changes forward as to how the Nationals work.

E.g.
F1 = Mod
F2 = 10.5
F3 = 13.5
F4 = 17.5/27T

Then have sub grading for each class.
E.g.

F1 Mod. F1, F2, F3 and F4
F2 10.5. F1, F2, F3 and F4
F3 13.5. F1, F2, F3 and F4
F4 17.5/27T. F1, F2, F3 and F4

Who knows even Regionals like the "good old day's" where you could gain
a B.R.C.A. Formula grade for your respective class so when you do go to
the Nationals you are seeded into the correct heat, I know there has
been some dissapiontment this year about drivers being in to low a
heat, this should solve another problem.

Just my thoughts, Please don't shoot me down in flames!!!!!!!!!! either lol.
